Are you really fashionable if you aren't obsessing over leather this season?
Leather purses; leather boots; leather jackets; leather pants. This season calls for this specific material, but leather is a very broad statement, so I'll get into the details.
Just a PSA Fall 2020 is NOT bringing back leather biker jackets, we are leaving that trend in the 2010s. (sorry to all the bikers)
But leather jackets are definitely coming back.
Big Oversized Leather Blazers and Jackets.
Or the BOLBJ (that's not really a thing but I don't feel like re-writing that phrase throughout my explanation). Like most 2020 trends that have followed the model off duty looks, BOLBJ are not any different.
BOLBJ are, not exaggerating, a complete necessity. Pair them with anything and everything. Pick a black leather jacket to put over jeans and a top, a slip dress, sweatpants, or a skirt, and your outfit will go from cute to a dream Pinterest outfit.
Chunky Leather Boots. These boots are 100% my absolute favorite. And before you even think it, I am banning the following phrase "But where would I wear them?". Hands down my least favorite phrase because these boots make every outfit look AMAZING. Wear them with jeans to keep it casual, dress it up in a dress, you have SO much room for creativity in your outfits. Ditch the boring phrase that is holding you back and grab a pair of chunky leather boots.
Little Leather Purses. Mini purses are nothing new in fashion, and neither are leather purses, but as time has told they will never go out of style. The best part is a leather mini leather purse that will class up your outfit and instantly make you seem trendy. Get a colorful statement bag, a sleek black purse, or a chic white baguette bag; these purses definitely here to stay and fashion designers do not seem to be getting sick of designing them.
Bold Straight Leather Pants. I know I said the biker look wasn't coming back... but let's get real. Leather pants low key scream biker, a super cute and trendy biker :) These pants are my new obsession. Whether its black, patterned, brown, pale white these bold pants never cease to amaze me. Pair them with sweaters for the fall season, long sleeve tops, puffy jackets, and your outfit is IT.
Leather is cute, and she is definitely IT right now. The biggest advice I can give you is to pick up at least one leather piece. Leather is such a staple that I do not see it going out of style. Thrift stores are great places to find amazing leather pieces. Stores like Zara, Pretty Little Thing, Nastygal, and MANY more sell great faux leather pieces for any vegans or people on a budget.
Now go out get some leather! Trust me your closet will thank you!
